As a customer, what should you expect from a summer tyre, and what should you pay particular attention to? ADAC – Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club, Europe’s largest automobile association – explored this question in its summer tyre test, evaluating a total of 18 summer tyres in size 225/40 R18. The Falken AZENIS FK520 represented the brand and achieved an overall “good” rating of 2.4.
ADAC testers highlighted the tyre’s excellent driving safety on both wet and dry roads. The Falken AZENIS FK520 delivered solid performance on dry roads, with short braking distances and high stability during sudden evasive manoeuvres, remaining safe and stable due to its higher grip level at the limit. On wet roads, the AZENIS FK520 stood out with short braking distances and reliable aquaplaning resistance. The ADAC test showed that at a speed of 80 km/h on a wet road, the braking distance was 30.5 metres. The Falken AZENIS FK520 also impressed with its good mileage and low abrasion, as well as its fuel efficiency

Overall, the tyre can be considered a more environmentally friendly and efficient choice.
